We recommend that you start using the additional module for American IronHorse Thunder with the knob set to minimum and gradually increase the knob until you find the setting that is best for your bike. Slightly modified bikes (sport exhaust, air cleaner etc) generally have better performance with the ring set around the midle if the bike has an aftermarket.
